As a developmental editor, my style is collaborative — not prescriptive

I will walk with you through the depths of the writing process, so that you emerge with a story that is layered and compelling.

For a story to be remembered, it needs to echo human nature and feel cathartic.

Whether you have a full manuscript or an idea, we will workshop your global story and your pages, untangling the threads of the process until you have clear steps to move forward.

To develop an idea into a story, we will schedule monthly or bi-monthly discussions of productive ideation and in-line feedback, to problem solve, brainstorm and question the architecture of your story. We will collaborate to weave character psychology into plot-appropriate scenes, creating a level of nuance and specificity that resonates with your reader.

If you have a draft in need of an editorial review, we will arrange a diagnostic edit to guide you through the revision stage and ensure your intention and character arc remain sharp and at the forefront.

A devotion to storytelling

My love for words led me to a career in developmental editing and is now my pathway into new worlds.

I focus on contemporary fiction with my editorial strengths residing in structure, concision and character psychology.

The joy I have found in helping writers chisel characters and plot out of their ideas and rumination is why I continue to seek connections with stories and their tellers.
